This book has some of that old Hornby vibe (High Fidelity, About a Boy) but still suffers from the lack of inspiration and attempt to be moralizing.It had the potential to be great - nice plot, promising characters, Hornby's take on music - yet failed to reach it, unfortunately. Still, there are some great laughs and good feeling lingers on afterwards.
